Ey up mi duck!....that's one of the greetings you'll hear if you ever visit Derby.Duck being a term of affection..I've had visitors who have seemed amazed .."it's like they already knew me!" people will say, after going into a shop or catching a bus .
I've not started any new pictures just yet..I need to get out and take some more photos...which I've done today. Despite the cloudy sky, I love these Mallard ducks and the reflections in the canal. I've also been up the ladder with my paint brush in the hall way and then down on my knees painting the skirting boards etc.....but I need to draw..so that will bye my goal tomorrow.I hope your weekend turns out fine..bye for now!

That's interesting! hehe
I wonder how the reflections would turn out in dots. It can't be very easy to get that effect of the cannal...
Ey up devil!..you've beaten me to it!..I looked at those reflections and thought they'd make something special in dots...but oil paint! I've actually done a picture of a reflected tree in dots a couple of years ago...you can see on my web site...it's very imaginitavely called 'Reflections'...I love those greeny brown swirly things.
I'm sure I'll love to see this when you have painted it, Niall.
I absolutely love ducks. They're very sweet when they quack. I have fond memories of camping in central BC, and waking up to the sounds of ducks splashing and talking to each other.
