Three Graces - 64
2 hours completed today...I'm finding it really hard. I really can't begin to tell you how I feel...It's so pathetic anyway..there are so many people suffering around the world...you don't need to hear my sob story. I will try tomorrow to do more.It feels as if my sanity depends on it at times!

Three Graces - 63 Back to work!!!!!!
It had to happen...although I only worked for an hour this afternoon..but it's the first time in almost a month that I've felt the desire to work. Creatively I've felt empty...cold. So it was a tentative beginning. I concentrated on the grass and flowers mainly. Lets hope that I'll feel the same tomorrow ...I've still got a very long way to with this one!

Another update.
Still rather buried...trying to find inspiration watching videos of French Can Can which never fails to put a smile on my face. But everything else feels dark and empty at the moment. Going on a boat trip up the Trent and Mersey Canal tomorrow...water, wildlife..open spaces..the green of the English countryside in summer.

Update
Still looking at a fairly bleak horizon. I know my muse will come eventually. I've gone through this several times before as long term readers of this blog will know. Every artist goes through the very same experience. It always seems to happen at the worst possible time ( is there in fact a good time for it to happen?). I shall continue to make the right conditions for things to happen!

Flat.
Iam the dream weaver,
the puzzler,
The enigmatist,
Stepping toe to toe
amongst shadows and rainbows,
in between wakefulness and slumber,
caressing illusions and breathing stars.
The truth is I'm empty...not a spec of inspiration...I'm flat as a pancake...I sat and stared at 'Three Graces' and ...nothing.So I'm writing pretentious verse and listening to lots of progressive rock, burning incense and drinking rum. If I survive , I'll be back soon!

Mini pix.....
Sat and looked at Three Graces for a while and felt as if it had been done by someoone else. So I decided to ease myself back into dotting by working on this 'minipix' selection. I also have to keep in mind that i'm doing an arts festival in September which has an architecture theme. I need to produce a few more pieces to sell there, I'm anxious to complete 'Graces' too...does anyone know of a good agent?...i'm hopeless....i'm sure things would be easier if I had someone to market my work.

HMS Pinafore artwork.
On the left is the original piece of artwork...on the right is a printed copy which is coloured with yellow pencil.Below is a copy coloured using a more golden yellow. I have also since repaired a few of the scuff marks left after I erased pencil marls, and I've added folds to the Admiral's trousers. I've sent these designs to the customer for approval. All being well, I'll take these to the printers tomorrow with the text that I want the printer to add. Hopefully you'll get to see the finished poster in a couple of weeks!

Back from holidays!
Had a wonderful week in Scotland..the weather was great seeing us spending plenty of time on the beach. One evening we had a barbecue on the beach with our dear friends Kay, John and Joe. We watched the sun set and then the moon rise over a calm sea. Back to work today saw me working on a design for a poster advertising a Gilbert and Sullivan comic opera. above are the working rough sketches. tomorrow I shall make the final version ready to go to the printers.
Below are two photos from our evening BBQ on the beach.!
