Had a wonderful week in Scotland..the weather was great seeing us spending plenty of time on the beach. One evening we had a barbecue on the beach with our dear friends Kay, John and Joe. We watched the sun set and then the moon rise over a calm sea. Back to work today saw me working on a design for a poster advertising a Gilbert and Sullivan comic opera. above are the working rough sketches. tomorrow I shall make the final version ready to go to the printers.
Below are two photos from our evening BBQ on the beach.!

I have wonderful memories of bonfires on the beach. Beautiful sunset.
How wonderful and very hippy like dinning at the beach. :)
Glad you had a good time and thank you for the postcard!
And you certainly came back with creative energy...
Robin...you'll probably laugh considering th relative smallness of Great Britain, but where we live is possibly just about the furthest you can get from the sea...but I get to see it only once a year...I dream about it most nights though!
DM....Beach dinning is definately a must..lots of spare firewood to be found and UK law allows fires on beaches..glad you got the card...it was only after I'd written it I realised i'd added the extra 'n'...
Niall .. have (almost) always loved my holidays in Scotland - Isle of Skye and way up north near Ullapool are fav destinations, but I see you were far east on the Firth .. go back a few pages on my blog and you will find my last extended trip there to Edinburgh and Glasgow museums and an episode or two about searching the family history ..
And yes, lovely and rather striking sunset shot ..
