Ball Of Wool - 19

Today I feel like one of the sheep..weightless.Sometimes all you can do to walk around with a big smile on the outside and the inside.

I had no idea the lights would look like this..but they do!..You wouldn't believe the trouble I went to in mixing some light blue ink..(the pen had run out)..basically I had to add white ink to blue...you'd thing it would be easy...strangely enough I seemed to have more ink on me than in the pen.I managed in the end to get it sorted...you see usually I have had an old syringe to draw up the ink..but it fell apart..so (wait for it!) I have been manually sucking the ink up a drinking straw and pinching it before it gets to my mouth...which is easier said than done.....do you know..ink actually does not taste very nice...

Great story. I'm picturing blue dots everywhere. The piece is coming along great.

You're a regular Monkey of the Inkpot!
"This animal, common in the north, is four or five inches long, its eyes are scarlet and its fur is jet black, silky, and soft as a pillow. It is marked by a curious instinct- the taste for India ink. When a person sits down to write, the monkey squats cross-legged near by with one forepaw folded over the other, waiting until the task is over. Then it drinks what is left of the ink, and afterwards sits back on its haunches, quite satisfied." -Wang Tai-Hai (1791)

I liked your other picture! Where are your glasses? Also, I liked being able to see your hands.

Yes, I miss the old photo of you in your studio! This one is backlit and it makes me squint to see your smiling face.

The piece is coming along so well, the sheep are brilliant!

...so necessity is the 'father'of invention...and that's a lot of blue so i guess your tongue must be feeling pretty 'blue'...waiting for the next...

Those sheep look so real....so it looks like all your efforts at sucking in from the straw, did help....brilliant

the last time i tried to suck up something gross was whn i was trying to steal petrol from my brothers bike by putting a tube in his tank and sucking and then dropping it into my tank...techinically this is correct...but i ended up drinking one liter of petrol...on top of that my bro chased me arnd the block with a lighter....

Lights are indeed so real--as though they are glowing right out of the paper--As though you cut out a piece of the night sky and pasted it righ there.
Your level of perseverance never ceases to amaze me.

Bluh!... for the ink taste... I can't put up with it... lol...
However, the blue in ths sky looks gorgeous!
Sweet sheep, Niall! As a matter of fact you look weightless on this new picture under your hat, too.

Tara..Ok..enough..I will change it back..:-)I not very good at moody!

Thinking Aloud..Apparently the ancient British painted them selves vlue too...maybe i'm subconciously trying to release the savage in me!

Prtas..ah well..you can't please all the people al of the time!..I'm glad you like it..but I will change it back soon...or maybe something totally new..I raided my daughters toy box to find some toy sheep to use as models..sadly I could only find a Ram and a Lamb..so the sheep here are the product of those two and my imagination.

Tys...Lol..you always make me laugh..I don't think anyone has called me 'cool' before!

PS..that's a really nice comment especially in view of your dislike of the picture..hopefully my special kind of magic will redeem it in your eyes!..

Jonice...The sky is looking better each day!
