Jigsaw - 43

The initial sketch work for the tree was quite angular...I want the tree to be more contorted...so I've laid basic shapes for the main trunk and branches with more curves, twists and turns. I shall develop the finer branches and twigs as I get to them.
If you look closely, you can also see the train on it's viaduct.

I like the way the tree is looking. I always liked corkscrew hazels as they are so interesting to look at.

Do the twist and contortions of the branches have something to do with those in real life?

Anish...you're very welcome !Thank you for taking the time to drop by.

BK...I think you will not be suprised after 'Ball Of wool' etc to know that symbolism within my pictures concerns most aspects. I think it is absolutely essential to the overall meaning of the picture (which I haven't revealed yet ! ) that the tree reprents the twists and turns of life ...there is something about roots there and the falling of leaves/renewal/longevity....etc
