Jigsaw - 11


Have worked extensively on the outstretched hand today gradually increasing the amounts of colour. One of the things that causes problems is gauging the level of contrast between shades needed.When I'm working on such a small area in the early stages of a picture, there's a lot of white ...so anything appears bright and dynamic at first. In the photo above you can see the darkness of the sleeve in shadow just below the hand holding the cards...this is the level of darkness the rest of the jacket will be based on.....so lots of dark blue dotting to come then...yay.
