So..I move into the last week of work on this piece..it's hard to believe that i'm only in the fifth week on this. It actually feels like longer.when you work so intensely and closely on something, be it a drawing, painting,embroidery..a brick wall...it becomes part of you..part of your daily experience.For me, coming to the end of a picture is a time to celebrate, but also tinged with a sense of loss...and even though it happens every time..i'm never prepared for it!

I'll be pretty happy when you finish this piece. I'm getting tired of seeing my goofy face every time I visit.
DM...I initially made her look as if she was enjoying her possition..then I wanted her to look affraid..but if i've captured both..that's good. pain is so close to pleasure!
