Ball Of Wool - 5

I must apologise for the fact that you are not seeing very much growth in this picture at the moment. As I have mentioned, peace and time to concentrate are all important. I find my mind wandering at times and to top it all off..the kids are still off with an inset day.Arguments, shouting, trying to get them to actually do their homework before the last minute..I find it all too much and am tempted to walk out sometimes. I feel at the moment like I'm 'In the world, but not of it'..it's so stupid and pretentious of me to to say that I feel as if I'm 'called' in my work..but feel..well..tangled I guess..in my 'Ball Of Wool'.

I can sympathize. I really love to paint, and if I'm lucky I get five hours a week to work, after the littl'uns are in bed when I'm already really tired. That's just the way it is, though, and I'm the only mommy they have. I don't want them to remember me always being irritated and wishing I were doing other things (even if I'm truly counting the hours until bedtime!)

Prats..if the ball is tangled, at least it's all in one place, to untangle it would cover the whole room...I suppos the trick would be then to do woth it what it was made for..knitting.

Julie..that is the never ending dilema of parenthood..you are a 'Mom' ..but you are also Julie!

I have now started a lurid beautiful pink jumper! Sneaking time and trying not to be grumpy because over tired and little me time, but as others have said, they are not small for long.....
