Nelson's is the working title for this piece. The reason?..well, it shows people in Trafalgar Square in London under Nelson's Column. I've not yet decided which the next 'surreal' picture will show..so in the meantime I really can't resist having something to do (even if I abandon it when inspiration strikes). I NEED to be working. I was telling the children in my class at school today about sketch books. You really need to exercise if you are to be a top performing athlete or singer...the same is true for the artist..draw..paint..sketch, note, observe...keep on keeping on!

That's true and in the meantime you actually do some lovely pieces.
I don't know if my previous comment had time to be registered because I closed the window too soon. I said there were a lot of secrets to dotting, for sure, and that I was also looking forward to Preeti's new posts. :)
I'm so happy I stumbled upon your blog! I love to see works in progress. Best wishes.
DM..Secrets have a way of coming out whether you want them to or not..you just have to join up the dots !
Julie..Abig welcome to you new visitor..i hope you'll pop back to see how this picture develops..please feel free to ask any questons!
Don't abandon this piece,.. please , pretty please...
Its looking so interesting, there's already so much of depth in it. Will follow this thru. :)
I am curious to see how this turns out!

The same is true for writers--carry a journal with you everywhere and write when you can.
Field of Trees is wonderful, and a terrific likeness of your beautiful wife. You can really see the difference the red dots made in the warm glow of the piece! The one prior looks a little cold but the finished illustration is very inviting.
I look forward to watching Nelson's develope!
