You know..had i known that i was going to take so long on this piece, i think i'd have reduced the size of it...i've just passed thew 100 hour mark today..( about 2/3 finished)..the rest shouldn't take too long though. I'm seeing different things each time I publish it..it's unintentional but if you look at the big Lighthouse , there is no real reference point to tell you how big it is...are the small ones far away or are they really small?(like the bees )...I quite like that (and it's an excuse for any technical shortcomings on my part!).Monday, September 15, 2008

Yes are probably one of the greatest bands ever! I especially like "Close to the edge". Anyhow your work. It is stunning! Do you have prints of anything?

I actually think the little ones look to be further away....
it must be my dyslexia , to me this looks as if the canvas is the galaxy and u have painted everying over it , leaving out only the area of the body..
light houses does look faraway...but then it cud also be coz iam conditioned to think them as big...
Yes, it is amazing how the brain processes the picture and makes its own assumptions about the relative placement of the various objects.
Orbits is an amazing picture niall, can't wait to see the real thing, I love the lighthouses, the play on light and movement, excellent.
