Firstly..the big black object at the top of the picture is my lamp...at least I've managed to complete the stage front and symbols.I've also added the little bird to the boys hand. The action on the stage is the next area to work on..I actually like the idea that the real drama is out in the audience!
At first I wasn't sure that I was going to like it in black and white because it seems like a missed opportunity for the constumes and ambient lighting. But I think I'm won over now. There's something about it that makes one think of alchemical formulae, and other arcane knowledge.
DM...with the level of concentration I put in ..it's more like a 'Geek' tradgedy!
Julie...It means everything that you like it..I think of your work as deeply intelligent and meaningful..to me it's something I would aspire to conceptwise..so to have you like mine therefore is the icing oon the cake!
Tys on ice...Hi, I'm so sorry i've not been over to visit your blog in a while..you are probably one of the funniest and most keen observers of life's little peculiarities.
I enjoy B/W for it's contrasts and drama..in the same way i love B/W films. I have a desire to weave visual riddles within my work..I'm facinated by contrasts of texture and emotion, beauty and revulsion etc...
"Welcome to my particular 'dance of life'.In these pages you'll see me producing artwork using millions of individually drawn dots of ink called 'Hyperpointillism'. You'll also see photographs..drawings and paintings.I endeavour each day to keep you up to date with whatever I'm working on giving a candid and honest insight into the life of an artist. Why not join me each day?....afterall,in life we're always learning...in the Eternal Dance, we're all just beginners"

It is. And then people project their dramas onto the stage - very greek tragedy!
