Preparations

This isn't what my desk looks like normally!..I've laid out some of the material I've used in preparation for the start of my new picture. All day I've flitted (not a word that one would normally associate with me) between taking photos of myself, the computer editing, printer, drawing table and sketchbook....and i still haven't decided of the final composition!!...it's as if the component parts of an electrical circuit are installed, but as yet no current is flowing.

I'm feeling intensely frustrated and trapped at the moment....as if i'm wearing shoes filled with lead.

Jesus, that's a lot of metaphors for one desk!
:)
I don't know what flitting is myself, so I guess it's not me either...I hope the power comes back soon into your electrical apparatus.

DM...Flitting can best be described as a butterfly flitting from one flower to another. With regards electrical power: Normal sevice will be resumed as soon as possible!

K10...Great to have you here!.Thank you for the complements,as for the meaning, well, you'll have to keep coming back as i'll reveal parts of it's story as I go along...but also, I like my readers to interpret the pictures ....stories have a way of evolving and becoming so much more than we meant them to be in the first place!

I hope it's not all the awesome publicity and gallery hobnobbing that's got you worn out!

Julie...there certainly been none of that...I only went to the gallery on the opening night...

hi niall, you visited my blog about my fight about breast cancer, nothing to do with art i suppose ;)) but everything what happens in life has a meaning i beleive (sorry for my poor English, i'm Flemish you know). The meaning of your visit is i beleive to give me a knock on the head to take my pensils up and start to paint again, write poetry again ... the things i realy love to do! for many weeks now i wanted to start again but feel too tired and sick but at the same time i know that my creativity could take a jump to a wonderfull feeling of happiness. Do you understand a bit what i'm trying to express?

So i think that your visit on my blog has a meaning! realy! i beleive in spiritual power of the mind and when i look at your wonderfull pictures and creations i feel blessed. So thank you Niall!!! you helped me!

I will continue to visit your blog and follow the evolution of your pictures, they are so wonderfull, amazing and special, unique ..

have a nice sunday and thanks for the positive wishes ...

"You"'r welcome!

I'm also a lover of the ancient pointillism and now i find out that you are working about the same way, i't very interresting. Do you use ink or paint? acrylic or oil?

My pictures are created using ink which I put into Rotring isograph pens..they have a nib which is 0.25mm..it gives an exact and consistent flow of ink.It is however my aim to be able to paint in oil on canvas...I am currently limited for space. You have my old email address, but if you would like to write, I normally use :
