Simple but effective..this only took just over 3 1/2 hours!!So using that as a guide, i could perhaps do two of these each day..if I really wanted to. Of course it's yet to be seen, but as I am working with the intention of selling the originals, will I give as much to the creativity as I usually would?

Hi Niall! I really liked that and it looks good and may be doable...as others looked "very hard"
What kind of paper do you use to do this and what size.....I am just curious as I would like my 7 year old daughter to try it....your works are unique!
VJ..Yes..this is a lot easier than previous. Purely because of the size. I work on Watercolour paper..usually 300 gramme acid free paper. when I do teaching in schools, I find children can't wait to have a go..I usually suggest using Fibre Tip pens or crayons..you too should have a go!!
I think only you will know the answer to that! It's a sweet painting :)
It's nice to do smaller jobs and a lot of them, instead of staring at the same picture for tons of hours, I imagine...
I guess thiese ones might have a igh degree of satisfaction. The stars in this remind me of Van Gogh's starry nights--one of my fav pics.
sept 26th wednesday--keeping fingers AND toes crossed ;-)
good pic Niall. simple but efective. A bit like you LOL
Visiting from Bobkat's...
The tree painting is beautiful. And I also have to add that I like what your wrote in your profile about the way you regard life.
Seems like this blog background was created esp. for you. Of course I think about Sondheim's musical, "Sunday in the Park with George."
Also like the Princess Ida poster. :)
