TLIR - 41 hrs 15

Ooops!..photographing in the dull light of my lamp is not recommended. Another thing that is definitely not recommended is misreading the name of a fellow blogger who kindly makes very complementary comments. I'm talking about my reference to 'Anonymous' yesterday. I have received my reprimand and hereby confirm that it was 'ANONYMOM' who commented. Please take time to visit her site..!

Once again progress is slow..I went into town this morning. You see I need to read too, and I'd just finished reading 'Like Water For Chocolate'..a wonderfully magical and food orientated romance/fantasy. I'm now settling down to read 'The Unbearable Lightness Of Being'
So I wasn't able to do any work until this afternoon. Oh, and although the boys went back to school today, Annie is now not due back until tomorrow, so she was around too. I hereby promise that tomorrow will bring a more prolonged bout of work.

Ah Tita and Pedro, that's a story worth reading about. And now you're moving to Teresa and what's-his-name. Another splendid one!
Anonymom that's a clever name!

I know I've said it before but I love the feeling of light and shadow in this picture. It has such a pleasant 'feel' to it.

Tee-hee-hee, I did not mean to reprimand! Although, yes, I am a mom and that's what we do.

I have to take a guess. Will the "Lady in Red" be a dog? It is very exciting to watch your work in progress.

When you try your hand at oils, what size will the canvases be?

BK..Sadly the photo's do not do it justice..i'll have to see if I can find someone with a scanner and present it in all it's detail when I'm finished.

Anonymom!..I have a canvas rady to practise on..it's about an A3 size..but have you seen the size of the canvases Georges Seurat used? (i'm talking about 'The Bathers/The Grand Jatte)..I'd love to work on a very large scale!!

Lady In Red?..definately NOT a dog.

Oh, now I see the original sketch and your lady is indeed a lady, not a dog. I didn't realize there was more to the image than the detail you have posted. That's what I get for joining you so late in the game!

I'm sorry, I don't know what A3 size means...? Yes, I've seen Seurat's paintings (and practice paintings) in person. How long might a piece that size take? I imagine a year!

I just loved reading both these books!

I was able to talk to my friend today! She'll come to your blog in a couple of days and then will write her opinion to me for me to translate and send to you, Niall.

Well, well, I think the dull light produced an interesting effect. Although I prefer it "dis-effected". :)

Anonymom...A3 works out at around 18 x 14 inches approx.I think the Seurat paintinf of The Grande Jatte took around two years to complete!!

Jonice..Thank you for asking your friend to comment!I'll look forward to that! I also have read a few Paulo Coelho...

I found you here from 'just a mother of two"; who spoke of your pointilism so wanted to see. I do pointilism as well; though black and white and understand the dedication it take sto complete one. I have not tried color - so inspirational!
