I've decided to call this picture 'The Lady In Red'. It should have in brackets after it 'the Man With Red Eyes'..it's so intense working..i don't think I've ever put so much into such a small space...( and for what?)Despite having been away on holiday a few weeks ago..I'm feeling exhausted..when ever I read about the artists I admire down the ages, they never seem to have had to contend with children on school holidays who seem to be unable to motivate themselves beyond the television or games console.It seems ever more to be that the longer I go on , the bigger my dreams become and the smaller the chances of them coming to fruition...I'll try to be more positive tomorrow.

Niall- I read Preeti's post and came to your blog!
Needless to say I was mesmerized by what you do althouth Preeti had mentioned "you" in every conversation I had about artists...I never comprehended its depth till I actually read your site and website. Truly Awesome!
Then as analytical as I am I wanted to find all the information I could find on "HyperPointillism"-needless to say there is very little information out there so Niall you need to give the world a lot more on your art and creations and how it is done.- My humble contribution as a respect of your work I added you to Wikipedia the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pointillism.
I would have loved to write more but needed your permission and authority to do the same...
I had one simple question - what motivates you and keeps you going? IF there is one thing I would like to learn from you it would be just that!
VJ..Thank you for your very kind words and interest. I think it is possible that I am the only person using this technique exclusively.I can't believe that there is no one out there who has at one time or another created work like this. I however have not heard of anyone .As far as Wikipedia is concerned, the term 'Hyperpointillism' is my own, so that will explain the blank search.Please feel free to mention me further..though I wonder why you would want to do so...Iam always surprised when people want to know more..i often think that people view me as a bit of 'novelty act', but not deserving of serious consideration.
As for my motivation...well..In a 'nutshell'..I (and this is very condensed)..I enjoy the process..I want to create realistic pictures..I love harmony in composition..I love contrasting textures..I love juxtapossition of subjects..I like symbolism and hidden meanings. I have a NEED to do this..it's something irrepressable..I am incomplete without it..I could go on..

I understand that it can't be easy to juggle all the repsonsabilities and still be able to feel free to create. But I'm sure your life is so much richer this way - you have to look on the bright side. :)
