What an interesting mood ?..Sometimes it's as if the picture reveals itself as I go along. this time I've left the composition fairly loose (except for my face) and want the overall effect to evolve..usually I have complete control of what is going on..nothing wrong with that..but I want to try something new..
I'm pretty sure of the gradation of colours I want for the sky, but no idea what to do with the background. Let's see what develops!

Well underway! What I cant figure out is how you achieve that dotted effect...
Wow, it's beautiful. I love art, I play with painting sometimes. I've always been afraid of painting people, though, they never look right to me when I paint them. You looks perfect.
You wrote on my blog about the Alchemist. It wasn't that recently -- I read it over the summer -- but it was an excellent book. One of the kind of books that I hold on to so I can re-read again.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'll be back to keep track of the progress of your painting. Actually, you've inspired me to post a shot of the painting I've started. I've been waiting until it's done, but the progress is interesting too!
This is wonderful. I am totally enjoying watching the progression of the painting so much I almost don't want it finished.
I'm waiting to see what you do--but am sure, it will be as outstanding as ever.
Thank you all for your encouragment! Each picture for me is a journey..they take relatively so long to do,so lots of things happen in my life as I do them. The things that happen, and the things people say to me affects the next picture..so who knows..something written here might trigger the 'Alchemy'(like 'Four Candles') and turn into a picture!
