I've spent around 4 hours completing the back and head of the figure...you'd think I'd be bored out of my head wouldn't you?...and you'd be right! But it has to be done and will look effective with the sky I plan to put behind it.

Sometimes boring things are really therapeutic, like knitting.
Your kids must think you're so weird ;)
I love the fluidity of the figures.
Oskur is looking great--so is the model figure.Your boredom doesnt show in your work.
I marvel at the way you work foreground to background. I suppose it's something the medium dictates, as you can't just wipe out and nudge things around, like with painting.
DM...My kids just accept me as 'Dad'..when they hear of other children's Dads who work in offices for 25 years with nothing but a pension and arthritis to show for it...they think that's 'Weird'!!!
Nessa...thankyou..I'm often guitly of fairly 'posed' figures...I like that..but for you to see "fluidity" is good!
PS...I'm not at all bored with the picture..only the act of dotting for hours on an expanse of similar shade.
Julie...Yes it is the constraint of the medium. I have to be fairly sure of what i'm doing before I start and produce numerous sketches as you know.Saying that, i do alter things as I go along sometimes. I will be painting one day so i'll need to rethink how I work!
I know, I was just teasing you!
